Games of the Day (2/28)

Pittsburgh (19-7, 9-6) 72 - Boston College (23-3, 12-3) 50
Is it just me or is Boston College looking more and more like just another decent team from the Big East. It looks like Boston College finally got the memo that the low scoring margin should correlate to a worse record than they currently have. Huge road win by Pittsburgh. They just removed the little doubt left about their tourney status. This will probably knock them out of the 8-9 game and into at least a 7 seed. A much better place to be.

Oklahoma (22-6, 11-4) 74 - Texas (19-9, 8-7) 58
The win Texas had over Missouri is looming huge now as Texas will most likely finish at .500 in conference. Just enough to make the tourney. If they don't get healthy quick they are about as sure a bet as can be for a first round exit. Oklahoma continues to roll. The margin of victory should not come as a surprise to anyone.

N. Iowa (20-9, 11-7) 67 - Wichita St. (19-8, 12-6) 66
Wichita St. is now gone from the tournament. Look at their resume. @SW Missouri St., San Francisco, S. Illinois, @N. Iowa, SW Missouri St. That is the only Top 100 victories they have. Couple that with 8 losses (2 in a row) and they don't have enough to get in. N. Iowa may get their spot but they are still 1 game behind in the standings. The MVC will be an interesting tourney to turn in for. Good win for N. Iowa. They are now in the conversation of teams that may dance.

Gonzaga (23-4) 87 - N. Colorado (4-18) 60
I hate these late season matchups between a great team and a dog. Expect the Zags RPI to drop a little bit. Can't we get more matchups like UCLA vs Notre Dame instead of these types of games.
